H.C.K.
H.C.K. (Her Crash Karma) (hiatus)
H.C.K. was a musical collaboration between Brian & Neil Merton and a Roland TR626 drum machine (formally known as Trevor). The music was mostly improvisational in nature and involved churning out reams of music (over 100+ songs) by jamming for evenings on end, whilst sharing accommodation in Leicester and Stoke-On-Trent.
H.C.K. never really took themselves too seriously, however, they managed to get into a studio in September 1994 (Far Heath studio in Northamptonshire). The product of this recording session was 3 track demo, which is available for your aural pleasure below.
Musical Influences (to name but a few):
- Love & Rockets
- The Choir
- Lifesavers underground (LSU)
- Violent Femmes
- Bauhaus
- Catherine Wheel
